The board officially reversed their decision and Clifdale Elementary is staying open. I am truly stunned by this result and I owe everything to the people who stood by this school when things looked bleak.

Final supporters
As most of you know, D3 school board has voted to close Clifdale Elementary for the 2019/2020 school year to begin work for the consolidation of two middle schools. Which in turn means our children will be dispersed to other elementary schools in the district and Clifdale will eventually become the middle school. The Clifdale family is completely heartbroken over losing our school. It is not fair to the students or teachers. This petition is being organized in hopes of stopping this from happening and possibly being able to allow the D3 school board to hold another referendum. This petition will be sent to the District office and superintendent

Seeing the momentum behind this movement remains completely surreal. This outpouring of care belongs entirely to the community members who refused to let Clifdale fade away.

I would have voted for the original referendum to pass, if I would have known this was option B. Please keep Clifdale Elementary!!
My kids are devastated as am I!! Clifdale is the absolute best elementary school in the district! Why would we close it down??? All of the kids are going to be torn apart that have been going to school together since 4&5k!!
Didn't go to this school but I am a member of D3 and my whole family.I have friends that went there and now their grandkids.Please don't close the school.You are breaking the hearts of every child there and I thought D3 was all about the KIDS.
This was my childhood school , I’m now in 12th grade and watching this happen to my elementary school is absolutely heartbreaking .
my granddaughter loves her teachers they have helped her so much and shes doing great now this is going to hurt her learning and with her special needs more then the others FIND A WAY TO KEEP THE SCHOOL together somewhere Layla Wrays grandma

Why would D3 choose to close Cliffdale Elementary? It's there highest ranked Elementary School! My granddaughter goes there. She started there young and will be in 5th grade next year! I can't believe they're closing this school! Why close the best? Look up school rankings! Cliffdale is ranked 10 out of 10. Please pick another School! SAVE CLIFFDALE ELEMENTARY!!!
