Recently our town was devastated by floods and we lost so much including our beloved Elementary School. This school was 97% damaged according to FEMA. It cant be repaired but they can rebuild. Now the Kanawha County Board of Education wont give the residents and parents of students a direct answer as to whether or not our school can be rebuilt. I'm starting this petition as a tool to show the School Board that the town and residents of the Clendenin Area want our school back and are willing to do almost anything to get it back. Please sign this petition to show them that we are serious about our school.

The volume of support has secured us a formal meeting with the Kanawha County Board of Education. I am currently drafting a letter outlining our demand for a rebuild plan to present at that session.

Clendenin Needs its own school....combining these schools are causing too many kids to be put in classrooms and schools, not to mention way too long bus rides!!! Keep Clendenin Elem.
We love our school and have a great bunch of teachers and staff who even though are professional at work also show our kids they are not just there for a pay check but our kids education are important to them. We are selfish we want to keep that.. Clendenin Elementary is the root of our community ..please rebuild we need our school back our kids have lost to much already.
Y husband attended this school my children attended this school,and now my grandchildren are attending this school. We need to keep this school within the limits of Clendenin so the town will flourish again. Give the youth hope of what soon will come in thier little and wonderful town.
this was my elementary school and i'm now a junior in highschool. i grew up here and loved every moment at that place. please save clendenin elementary
Our community needs this school back. To make them have a longer bus ride and more students per classroom is not gonna help our kids learn anything. They will be so tired from the extended bus ride and can't get the one on one with the teachers to help them learn more. Please consider what you are doing to this community that has lost so much by wanting to move the school.
Clendenin Elementary is a bug part of the lives of everyone here and a big part of the past!! Don't take our school!!!!! Please ??!!!

Clendenin Elementary needs rebuilt and it needs to stay in Clendenin. So many have lost so much seems like FEMA is not wanting Clendenin to become a productive community again.
