PLEASE SIGN, THIS IS FOR OUR CHILDREN

The core of any school is their principal. Mr. Hendrickson is a special principal that loves his school, and his students. He is being forced out of Volney because of a policy that the Fulton School board created saying a person can't supervise his direct family member. The same goes for Lanigan Principal Mr. Briggs. Instead of the board switching out the teacher , or keeping them, which would have been a lot easier for the students, they decided to switch out the principals. Many students are devastated by the news. We want our principal back!! In light of the changes, Mr Briggs from Lanigan decided to resign, and instead of the board admitting their mistake, they accepted his resignation. Now, Volney is left with Mr Briggs for a mandatory 30 days, and then a temporary principal(s) will hold the position until one is found. So, Our kids are left holding the bags. The school year is just about to begin, and our children have grown up with these men who are role models to many. Now, the students at Volney are left without a principal at all. New standards are in place this year that will put a lot of pressure on the students as far as academics are concerned. This is a change that we don't want. Please sign this petition to show the board that we don't want the change, and we want our principal back!! This is for the kids, and it is our voice as parents, friends, families, tax payers.  I went to a meeting last night, and the board told me, "we can have a LITTLE parent meeting if you want" We could have used a meeting before you went and stabbed us in the backs!! Save our principal!!
