Save our Greenspace
We are entering our second year as a community Grassroots Football club in the Lowerhouse/Rosegrove area. After having problems with older children with anti-social behaviour relating to football we decided we would step in and set the club up to try and tackle some of these issues. We are working closley with the local neighbourhood policing team, anti-social behaviour team, Schools and local councillors. Our aim is to provide fun and safe coaching facilities for children of all ages in the community and surrounding areas whilst promoting health and wellbeing and supporting childrens development. We try to teach the children about respect for the game and the importance of working as a team. We also aim to provide training and qualifications for our older children to encourage them to join our team of dedicated volunteers. Lancashire County council are trying to sell the field we use for some of our football matches. If this goes ahead this will have a massive impact on our community. The field is not only used by us but other local clubs in the area. Pitches in our area are hard to come by and pitches in surrounding areas have limited availability. This will have a detrimental effect on our achievements and aims. Please support us to 'Save our GreenSpace.'
