LB Rovers Underage Soccer Club (Lisselton/Ballybunion).
Formed in 2012, It all began back then by coaching just a small group of 25 Children on Saturday mornings & we now have close on 200 Boys & Girls from U7,U8,U9,U10,U11,U12,U13,U14,U15,U16 & U17 playing in the Kerry Schoolboys/girls League.
At present we have no facilities of our own and are in urgent need of ground in order to commence a development which will provide our ever-increasing playing numbers with both playing & changing facilities.
We have searched around the surroundings of the Lisselton/Ballybunion areas for suitable ground but without any success.
There may be opportunity of Land that is a short distance outside of the settlements of Lisselton/Ballybunion area, however any such planning application may meet push back from the local Planning Authorities, as we are informed previously that it is a planning requirement to have such playing fields close to a settlement area.
We have now reached a critical stage & if we do not aquire Land ASAP, it puts us in a very difficult situation to meet the continue growth of playing numbers year on year.
Your support could potentially make a huge difference to a very progressive young club which is voluntarily providing huge activity for the young boys and girls in our area.

The current level of public interest provides the leverage required to approach the local planning authorities for a formal discussion. I am drafting a proposal now to present these signatures as proof of community demand for allocated sports land.

It is a great club to be involved in. The number of kids participating in the club shows the important social outlet it has become in this area. The effort being made by all the volunteers which includes the coaches, the fundraising committee and the management committee is extraordinary and deserves to be rewarded with the provision of proper playing facilities for the club.
Our daughter Fiana is a member of this club and it is worth the journey travelling each week from Milltown for the superb quality coaching she receives from Eoin and all involved in the club who look after the development of each and every player. A very welcoming club who badly need facilities of their own.
My 3 sons are members of LB ROVERS FC and they would be devastated.if they could not continue training with their much loved soccer club. Our own grounds are urgently needed as numbers are growing continuously every year. Great credit goes to our fantastic coaches !
Highly important resource for the youth of the wider community. Players from this locality already on County & Development squads and potentially International Squads.
LB Rovers is a fantastic soccer club providing an invaluable recreational facility for children and young people, from Ballybunion and the surrounding areas, where they acquire social and sporting life skills as well as positive physical health benefits. The commitment and dedication of the volunteers is remarkable and is reflected in the large number of players the club attracts.
Giggs is a great coach,what he has done for all the Young kids have been amazing and best of all he is a good man..So Please find them some land so the kids can play,meet friends,have a smile on there face and learn the game that we all love...

This is vital for the future of our kids and will benefit kids for generations to come as we know the digital world has taken over our children’s life’s but have this in the community will safe lives as they will make real friends learn to interact and be part of a team you won’t get that from a device .we are indebted to those who give up so much time to teach all our children life skills without a doubt they should get this facility it is obvious with the amount of kids that are playing since it started and I can’t express how important it is for all these kids mental @ physical well being
