Wood End Tigers JFC provide the opportunity for children in the village and adjacent areas to play football in a safe and competitive environment. Our existence as a club has been challenged by North Warwickshire Borough Councils decision to site a playground on the Recreation Ground in such a manner that leaves no room for a football pitch, as they consider the costs of the required drainage work to be prohibitive. This effectively means that the club are left with around 100 young players without anywhere to play. We have no objection to the playground, in fact we believe it to be long overdue, but we do not believe that it should be at the expense of the junior football club. This petition is designed to encourage the council to look again at their plans and either to come up with a sensible compromise or to find us a suitable alternative.

This is ridiculous. We got plenty of space for a park without killing the club. Just use your heads.

Why not both? Seems like they just dont want to pay for the drainage. Lazy planning.

My son has played for the tigers for 3 years. Taking away his matches is just cruel. Sort it out council.

Absolute joke. Leave the pitches alone. The kids need somewhere to play on the weekends and this is the only spot in the village.
