Final supporters
We, the undersigned, ask the City of Sun Prairie WI to immediately stop cutting down Ash trees throughout the city. We are respectfully asking city officials for a community forum where this matter can be discussed openly.

I spent the entire morning walking past the empty spots where those beautiful trees used to stand and it hurts to see the sun hitting the pavement where there should be shade. I am currently gathering documents to present at the next council meeting to show them that we will not stay quiet while our neighborhood loses its character.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms that so many of you share my grief over the loss of these trees. My heart is full knowing I am not the only one fighting to protect the canopy that defines our streets.

It is a shame. I have been treating and caring for the Ash tree in my yard and have had no issues. The city should look into treatment options first. I find it hard to believe all the trees are infected.
Such a shame the the community and specific neighborhoods were never offered any solution other than to cut the trees down. Re-planting in 3-5 years is not fast enough. I love my tree-lined streets!!
This will be the second tree taken from this right of way of my $6500 property taxed property (the city snowplow Driver pushed my flowering Crabtree over about 6 yrs ago) The next petition will be to remove the tree city designation SP has had for many yrs
We were offered the option of paying $150 to accelerate the replanting of a removed tree. Why couldn't we be offered the option of paying that same $150 to support treatment of the existing tree.
It's ridiculous to cut down all of these healthy trees. Just like you aren't going to get rid of CWD by getting rid of all the deer. There are treatments that can stop EABs.

We live in the willow brook neighborhood and would like the ash trees to be treated instead of cutting them down. They are healthy trees.
