Please stop!

City of Sun Prairie, your citizens want you to come up with a better more thoughtful plan for the Ash trees. Let's keep our city beautiful, prosperous and attractive for new families to come here to live. We want our trees to stay!

You already took my tree and those of my neighbors, but refrain from taking down healthy trees and instead treat them appropriately.

Let's save these trees!!

We live in the willow brook neighborhood and would like the ash trees to be treated instead of cutting them down. They are healthy trees.

Treat the ash trees and keep them alive its cheaper than cutting them down. Listen to the citizens and do what is right.

I've been notified my healthy ash tree was selected for removal - not happy about that. Did the decision to kill a healthy tree so that it does not get infected and die come from the same department that thought it would be a good idea to plant all 15 parkway trees on Overlook Pass with the same species? Looks to me like a pattern of poor planning. Let's stop and talk about it before it's too late to change the plan.

My curbside ash tree is designated to be cut down. I have been treating my curbside ash as well as every tree and bush in my yard for about five years now. I use a systemic every spring that prevents both the Emerald Ash Borer and Japanese Beetle from attacking my trees and bushes. The product I use is a systemic treatment made by Bayer. So what gives City of Sun Prairie that you are so fast to want to cut down the healthy vibrant ash tree on my curbside?

It is a shame. I have been treating and caring for the Ash tree in my yard and have had no issues. The city should look into treatment options first. I find it hard to believe all the trees are infected.

Such a shame the the community and specific neighborhoods were never offered any solution other than to cut the trees down. Re-planting in 3-5 years is not fast enough. I love my tree-lined streets!!

It is a shame that this is happening but our city will take years to recover from the ash tree scalping that is happening.

This will be the second tree taken from this right of way of my $6500 property taxed property (the city snowplow Driver pushed my flowering Crabtree over about 6 yrs ago) The next petition will be to remove the tree city designation SP has had for many yrs

There are many alternative solutions to this besides cutting down thousands of trees!

We were offered the option of paying $150 to accelerate the replanting of a removed tree. Why couldn't we be offered the option of paying that same $150 to support treatment of the existing tree.

Treatment over extinction, please. Oh, and the $150 fee to have a tree re-planted sooner than three-fiver years?! Sounds, looks, and smells like payola. Silly. We're all adults here.
