Officer Nicholson has become an integral part of the Furness family. A consummate professional, Officer Nicholson is loved and respected by staff, students and visitors alike. Having a consistent adult who is a great role model for all our students is incredibly important to the fabric of our school climate.
The addition of Officer Nicholson to Sergeant Fletcher's strong team this year has turned around what was formerly a hot spot of contention and malcontent at the point of entry into the type of first contact we are proud for our students, their families, and our guests to encounter. A big part of that is Officer Nicholson's bright, caring, and professional demeanor.
Officer Nicholson has gotten to know the students and staff and she has earned great respect in both regards. Removing her now, does great damage to the relationships that affect our positive single school climate. Officer Nicholson is integral to our continued success maintaining consistency with our students who have sadly become accustomed to flux. Especially when it comes to safety and climate, we cannot afford to replace her with someone unfamiliar with our building.
Please reconsider, and re-assign Officer Nicholson to her home at Horace Howard Furness High School!

The silence from the district office is still deafening despite the letters I have been sending daily. It is exhausting to keep pushing when there is no response but I refuse to let them ignore the impact this move has on our students.

Seeing this much support come together is heavy, but it shows just how much Officer Nicholson has changed this building for the better. The exhaustion is still there, yet seeing so many people refuse to accept this decision keeps me going.

My mom loves those students, and no one is more fit to understand and protect them! It would be a shame to displace her.
Retain this officer because she has an excellent relationship with the children. You would create a great disservice by removing her.
What a shame and a great loss for Furness! Why is it just when we are getting things right and in a good place someone decides that it is time for a change. Officer Nicholson brought professionalism to the table and earned the respect of the students with no problem. She was a very important part of the Furness Family and SP Force!
As we can see she's a part of the Furness family and I a student myself would like to have her remain at this school. Shes welcoming and most but not least shes a great person to be around with and that i feel safe when she is around.
We need Officer Nicholson to maintain the positive changes made this year! She has important knowledge and understanding that improves the whole school culture!

Officer Nicholson embraced the diversity of our students and parents. She respected all cultures. She was most helpful to students who speak little or no English. Language was not a barrier for her. She smiled in ALL languages.
