The council finally reversed their decision to move the station and we have secured our home in the heart of town. I am drained from this fight but deeply grateful to everyone who stuck with me until we got justice. We successfully protected our safety and our community.

Please sign this petition to stop Mildenhall Fire Station from being moved from it's current location .

The move to the proposed new Hub site at Sheldrick Way Mildenhall will result in delayed response times, as well as many other issues including lack of training facilities. The current station crew have expressed their objection to this move as well as All of the retired station crew members who have served at the current station . But the Council and Councillors are still not listening .

This proposed move is not about the safety and the lives of the community, it's about money .

This station has been at the heart of Mildenhall since 1955, Please sign to show your support and hopefully commen sence will provail.

We hit five hundred signatures today even though the council continues to ignore us. It is exhausting to keep pushing when they refuse to listen but seeing this level of support keeps me going.

Leave our fire station where it is - allowing all the emergency services to come out onto Queensway is a serious accident waiting to happen. This hub and move of the services of Mildenhall is a cost cutting exercise and NOT in the best interests of the town and surrounding villages.

I believe moving the fire station to Sheldrick Way will slow down response times due to congestion in Queensway. The fire station should not be moved to Sheldrick Way, Mildenhall Hub should serve the community not be a detriment to safety and well being.

As a recently retired firefighter having served at Bury and Mildenhall . It seems an absolute disgrace that sfrs management are just counting on what they can save instead of listening to people in the know and putting public saftey at risk!!!

I still have family who live up near Sheldrick Way and don't think it is practicable as per previous comments re: traffic flow/access, As a nurse myself, we are already experiencing huge issues with cuts to emergency service resources and the knock on effect of this. Not happy.

The men and women who serve our community so bravely say it's a bad move to go to the hub. I hope the powers to be will listen to their experience and keep the Fire Station logistically central. I.E. where it is!!!!

I am not against the hub or blue light intergration but it should not come at the price of response times plus the loss of the stations training facilities, whoever thought mixing blue light services with 1500 school children clearly needs a reality check.

It's virtually in the centre of town, easy access to all of the area, why move it!!!!
