Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has undertaken a Fire Cover review.
The conlusions of this review is to:
> Close Edwinstowe Fire Station
> Close Warsop Fire Station
> Close Collingham Fire Station
> Remove 1 Applicance from Carlton Fire Station
> Remove 1 Appliance from Arnold Fire Station
> Remove 1 Appliance from Highfields Fire Station (Beeston)
These proposals will reduce the number of Fire Engines from 36 to 30 and around 120 Fire Fighters are set to loose their jobs.

EDWINSTOWE NEEDS ITS STATION. Keep our village safe!!
Less engines means longer wait times. Simple as that. Dont do it.
This is ridiculous. Leave the local fire stations alone, we pay our taxes for these services.
Totally unfair on those who risk their lives for us. Shame on the council for even thinking about this.
My husband is a retained firefighter and he works so hard for this community. U cant just cut jobs like this.

Every second counts in a fire. Closing stations is purely asking for trouble. Bad idea all round.
