Mattos has been saved once by an amazing community effort and now, with no viable plan for a replacement, and no sufficient reason, the city is taking a valuable community resource from the very people who invested in saving it the first time.

A lot of dedication went into saving this place for a gentleman who served our country. It is newly renovated and it would not only be a terrible waste of this newly updated space but it would be disrespectful and show that anything dedicated is a joke because it can be desecrated so easily. It is shameful.

Please save mattos. No traffic studies. Double students. Only one entry and exit. More expensive than other options and then trying to move forward without getting bids!

Mattos Field is a dedicated space in this city to honor and remember a local hero. The city of Gloucester has the responsibility to respect Mr. Mattos legacy and preserve the field in his honor.

These women in the softball league have done sooo much to keep the field clean, they raised so much money to get brand new lights for the field. It’s not right that your trying to take this field away from them!!

This neighborhood street is too small for all the additional drop offs, busses and traffic that will result from creating a bigger school. That field is an important and central part of that the whole neighborhood and should remain as is.

We do not need any more sprawl to that once beautiful area. It would also be dangerous.

Added traffic should be a concern.
