With the increase in numbers and age of older people in our community, Manorfield House is a vital resource, providing security and practical care for those unable to be sustained at home by community services.
Closing Manorfield's would undermine services to the elderly and vulnerable in Horsforth.
We the undersigned call upon Leeds City Council to reassess its priorities and keep this essential service open.

I have been spending my evenings talking to families who are terrified about where their loved ones will go if the council shuts these doors. The stories you are sharing in the comments prove that Manorfield is not just a building but a true home. I am currently compiling these accounts to hand over to the council so they cannot ignore the people they are putting at risk.

Seeing this level of support reminds me exactly why my grandmother felt so safe and cared for at Manorfield House. This momentum proves that our community refuses to let our most vulnerable neighbors be pushed out of their home.

Ridiculous decision. Where are these people supposed to go? Leeds council needs to get their act together and stop cutting corners.
Horsforth needs this home. Think about the residents for once instead of just the bottom line.
Another budget cut at the expense of our elderly. Truly shameful behavior from the council.
This place is amazing. dont close it please my mum is so happy there.
My gran lived here for years and the staff were like family. You cant just uproot vulnerable people like they are furniture. Leave it open!
