Our family has farmed this land for over 90 year's, that's 3 generations with children growing up.
Once this land is lost there will be no more farming at lower hall farm. That means no farming future for our children as it would not be suitable or a viable amount of land to make a living, people have to realise once this land is lost it's lost forever and me and my families world as we know it.

I have been spending my mornings walking the fields and wondering how to explain to my children that their future is being carved away. The silence from the planning office is deafening but we are documenting every inch of this soil to prove why it belongs here.

Seeing this kind of backing for our family land leaves me speechless. It is heartening to know so many people understand why this farm must remain in our lives.

Another piece of our history lost forever not to mention the countryside. First it will be a quarry then it will expand into an industrial estate and before you know it we will have lost the villages between Preston and Blackburn.
this country needs farms as losing self sufficiency is a disaster waiting to happen, not to mention the heritage of the land and probable archaeologically important items under the land which would be destroyed by quarrying.
Please keep some of the uk countryside for people in the future to experience it!

you need to look at the long term value of what's on the land surface, to lots of people and generations to come. not the short term value of a tiny amount of one resource underground that won't benefit the current land owners, but just make one developer a bit of quick cash for a short few years. understand true value
