Cork County Council elected councillors have voted to re-zone an area in Lower Aghada village from existing green infrastructure zone to industrial zone, following a request by a wealthy private developer. The developer is proposing to construct the world's largest hydrogen electrolysis manufacturing and generation facility in the heart of the village. The site is immediately adjacent and bounding a Special Protection Area for wildlife, tennis club, People's Path amenity walk, main road to/from Whitegate and within the rural residential area. All within the heart of the village.

If you would like to register your voice, and sign a petition to protest against this re-zoning and industrial development, please sign. This petition will be submitted to the Council officials, elected councillors and all the relevant TDs and ministers.
