St. Marys county would like to tear down the block where Linda's Cafe and Oasis of Victory Christian Church International (OVCCI) reside. They would like to build another gas station (Royal Farms to be exact) knowing our county currently has 2 Sheetz and 2 Wawas not including all the other gas stations we have. Linda's Cafe is a historic landmark in our area. OVCCI is a place for family and friends to come together and praise God. OVCCI is also a historic landmark of our county. Please save our history and sign against building Royal Farms.

I was just looking at the total and we are staring right at five hundred signatures which is honestly kind of surreal because I remember when this was just an idea. If you know anyone who hasn't clicked yet please send them the link because that next milestone is going to show the county board that we are absolutely serious.

I was just staring at the screen and noticing how quickly that number is creeping up toward a hundred and it makes me think about how much we really need to keep pushing before the county meeting. If you could just send this link to a couple of people you know right now it would really help us show them that a gas station is the last thing this historic block needs.

In addition to wanting to keep a historic building intact, I’m concerned about traffic that would be created by having a gas station placed at this location. With such short distance from the corner lot to the base gate 2, a gas station will cause additional traffic delays and issues to that intersection.
We can't lose Linda's! It's a St. Mary's County gem! We ate there the day we got the news that we were shutting down for Covid, and we ate there the first day everything opened back up! Linda's grits and coffee have gotten me through some tough times! Can't imagine this county without it!
Linda’s Cafe & Oasis have and continue to be a staple of the community. Royal Farms can’t replace - even a tiny bit - the comfort food or the spiritual comfort that Linda’s and Oasis facilitates.
Linda’s is a staple in the community, and even during COVID, they hit the road in a food truck to being their delicious menu to the community! It would be a shame to see them displaced by a chain/convenience store/gas station with no connection to the community.
There are plenty of gas and convenience store locations nearby. No need to put small Business out of business in order to accommodate another large business. City zoning and planning should accommodate legacy-term small Businesses, especially after serving as a business since Pandemic.

We already have gas stations, liquor stores, convince stores, inconvenience stores etc.. oasis of victory has been a bright spot in this community.. Linda’s cafe is a big piece of this communities heart.. that thrift store helps SO MANY PEOPLE IN NEED WHO DONT EVEN OWN A CAR.. I vote no
