Quality and affordable preschools are in a shortage especially this year with late-born children being held back from Kindergarten and the closing of other preschools on O'ahu. As a parent of a graduate of KS preschool Hale'iwa the news was heartbreaking. The staff is wonderful and our community needs this preschool to care for and educate our children in the most crucial years. Mahalo!

Both of my daughters went to Kamehameha prechool in Haleiwa and enjoy every moment of it. It gave them such a head start on kindergarten and prepared them for school to come. Please don't take away that opportunity for other young keiki.

Auwe! With 8 billion to maintain trust responsibilities, it seems I fathomable that KS would move towards any decision that take away educational support and jobs for Hawaiians in rural communities. As an alumni, educator and father this disturbs me.

I have taught Early Childhood classes for 38 years. It is very important to keep this school open and to offer preK classes to all.

Closing the school is mindless. There are other facilities that could be used in the central area ..also ..clsing he school burdens the other district preschools which are already in high demand

My nephew attends the preschool. He has learned so much this year. It would be a shame to take this away from our community, totally against Princess Pauahi's dreams for the Hawaiian people!
