I spent the morning at the shop with Jim and he was moved to tears reading the stories you all left about the decades of memories tied to this place. Your words are showing the landlord that this isn't just a business but a vital piece of our neighborhood history that we refuse to lose.

Seeing this much support for Jim reminds me that our neighborhood still cares about the people who built it. I am truly humbled by how many of you stepped up to protect this shop. This momentum shows that Jim is not alone in this fight.

Jim's Shoe Repair is the BEST in NYC! I trust my shoes with no other! SL Green can't fill the vacancies they have @ 625 Madison now so why they would want to lose another tenant is beyond me!

For the past 18 plus years, i could always depend on Jim's Shoe Repair to do a magnificent job with my shoes. They are always so nice to deal with, and the work they produce is of the highest quality. I hope Jim's will be able to keep their home.

I'd be lost without Jim's Shoe Repair. Have a pile of shoes waiting to be dropped off. Very upset with landlord.

This is outrageous. I have been going to Jims for 30 years. If Duane Reade promotes themselves as a neighborhood pharmacy, then why are they trying to evict other neighborhood stores?

We have been going to Jim's EVERY week for 25 years and CANNOT live without them. Not so much Duane Reade. If they force Jim's out, we will NEVER go into another Duane Reade or Walgreen's.

History is important. Jim's has been a member of the community for over 80 years. They deserve some resect. I will boycott Duane Reade if they force the closing of Jims.

We need to keep this treasure around for another 82 years!! Duane Reade has more than enough space.
