Jiffy Lunch is under threat of closure! Due to the recent School Board decision, Jiffy lunch will be closed effective August 22, 2011. Jiffy’s has been opened since 1965 and has feed hundreds of thousands of school children. This is just another example of BIG GOVERNMENT running over SMALL BUSINESS. In order to pay for their decision to build this monstrous Cafetorium, they are now forcing students to eat the school’s food. Rather than allow students to walk the 27 feet to Jiffy’s they will close campus. Petition: **We, the undersigned, are completely opposed to the closing of campus where it applies to the children of all campus’ being allowed to eat at Jiffy’s. **We feel that the School Board has been underhanded in their decision to go against the people’s desire to keep this icon open. **We condemn such short sided reasoning especially since no safety issues have been sited and no realistic reasons have been given for this decision. We call on the board to find an innovative and community serving solution to the perceived problem rather than the current proposal to shut down a local business and remove a landmark.
