It was announced yesterday (5/5/14) that Pastor Shane has decided to close Inklings Bookstore so the space can be used for the community groups - groups we don't even have yet. Currently we have at least 13 rooms that are large enough to hold community group meetings. Between those existing rooms we would be able to schedule 52 community group meetings each month. Pastor Shane's proposal is for 10 community groups in the first 2 years. We don't need to close Inklings to accommodate community activities. In fact Inklings was established as a community activity center and is being utilized as such. We all run into people we don't see often while shopping in the bookstore. It would be a tragedy to loose this facility. If you agree with this reasoning, please sign this petition and pass it along to anyone you think might agree. Time is of the essence, so please move the petition along to as many people as you can and as quickly as you can. If you feel led, and after you sign the petition, you might send an email to either Shane or an elder expressing why you believe the bookstore is a valuable asset to our church.
