The devastation in Hemsby is ongoing and I have been meeting with local officials to demand a real plan for these families. Go to our website to donate directly to the relief fund and email your local representative today to insist they take action.

hope we get the sea defence we need. the marrams where people want to live. also the outstanding bueaty of the area. the rare animals that live in the dunes and winterton valley ,the naterjack toad and the adder.
I have holiday'd at Hemsby all my life, the only holiday Ive ever had and stayed the safer side of the Marrams in 2 different bungalows until the owner sold them and the risky side once which is still standing.
People are loosing their homes, are fearing they loose their homes and the whole area will be badly effected if the beach is lost. How can a community be left on their own to face this .... Please help this village to construct the desparately needed sea defenses.
more should have been done earlier now look all these lovely people have lost there homes and could be all they have worked for to spend old age by the sea it just makes me feel sick to think about it
The Government needs to act now and intervene - the community has shown its determination and rose to the challenge but mother nature has fought back. We need swift action to save lives and livelihoods. Charity begins at home.
It's a beautiful lovely place for families. We have a chalet there and we love it.
It needs saving now before lives are lost .

Serious irresponsibility demonstarted by the succesive governments deciding to decline coastal defences on vital parts of our shoreline, and even more to permit offshore dredging which promotes the loss of our beaches and protective dunes. dune
