The football program is staying and those resignations were finally submitted. It has been a long and draining fight but we achieved exactly what we set out to do. I am going to take a moment to breathe before we watch to ensure these changes actually stick.

The elders don’t let the kids have a normal prom/homecoming because they find dancing inappropriate. Football is the only part of a normal high school experience these kids have and they want to take it away
I’ve been waiting for my senior year to play football my whole life. Coach Hendo has taught me so much on how to be a man of God. My senior year of football has been canceled due to selfishness from the top.
My sons have been at Grace from preschool. Coach Henderson is a great man that taught my son some real life lessons and to always put God first. To remove him from the program is a tragic loss for the school and I believe it was handled very poorly.
The elders do not have an educational background, nor do they know the culture of the school as they do not spend time there. They should resign and refund re-enrollment fees as well as 75% of the football fees the families paid this year for a non season!
Students attend Grace Brethren expect to be able to choose a well rounded high school experience. College applications REQUIRE it now. Cheer was dropped snd now they are downsizing football. Bad decision.
Why would we not support the growth of the football program? The trajectory of the program wasn’t going the way the church wanted? So they don’t support growth and development of young men, giving so many the opportunity to be exposed to athletics through a Christ-centered perspective? Sad.
The kids shouldn’t pay for the decisions of adults. Let them play!

My son went through the Grace baseball program and youth football program. It was an amazing experience for our family.We made lifelong friendships as did our son Kenny. Shutting down the Grace sports program is just wrong on so many levels.
