It' been brought to my attention that one of our own,Head Coach Bubba Howrish has been forced to step down as coach. I'm not quite sure the thinking of this board of directors regarding asking Bubba to step down, but they have weakened our program. This is why I encouraging present and past,parents and former players alike to rally to one of our brothers in arms, to sign this petition and reinstate coach Howrish back to head coach and leave him the hell alone, and let him do what he does best, teach the game of football to our youth, and win.I am not happy with how the Shamrocks are being navigated past and present, and we have to remember that the Shamrocks are their for the youth of Sexsmith and surrounding areas.I also would like all former parents and players to make it to the next AGM as I plan on coming back up to Sexsmith for this. Thanks in advance for help

Wow.. Very disappointed.. This happened a few years ago and if I recall he was asked to come back to coach. Leading his team to victory. I realize that it's not about winning.. What I do know is that the boys have nothing but respect for Coach Bubba
Both of our boys went through the Shamrock program and are better men because of it I'm sure. Bubba was a big part of the program then and should remain doing the same.
I think coach Bubba is an amazing coach. He was dedicated, very competent and the kids loved him. As a parent of one of the players, I was very disappointed to hear of this change.
I have had both my boys in sexsmith shamrock football league. Coach Bubba was their coach ! I think it's a horrible mistake to get rid of him. Both my boys are very good football players and it's all from bubbas coaching skills. I feel sorry for the upcoming shamrock team as they will be missing an excellent coach and mentor. My grandson will be coming up in football next year and if bubba is not there to coach him he will be playing for another league as without bubba the sexsmith shamrocks are in for a severe downward spiral. Bubba coached 2 years in a row and both times the team made it to the Horner cup. Winning it the first year for the first time in many years ! Losing bubba as head coach is a sorry day for the sexsmith shamrocks !
In my grade 8 year of football I was small and timid. In grade 9 bubba came back and I was still undersized and he made me the football player I am today. Asked to step down because of lack of coaching skills? He coached the first shamrock team to win in 8 years and he always treated us equals and had our back no matter what at any hour of the day.
Now that the dust has settled and football season is underway. I would personally like to thank all of your for your support. Goes to show that family doesn't always need to be blood. What Kelly and Cole have done for all the boys who have came to the program is absolutely incredible to say the least. I will always remember what Kelly told me before he left and it was "bubba you make sure that this program doesn't go down the toilet, you run it how it's supposed to be." Now every day I try my best to make Kelly happy but no matter how much I try no one will ever replace that man. So here's to Kelly and Cole for being such amazing people and here's to all of you for your support. Thank you everyone. Cheers. Go Shamrocks
I am not a football mom. I just think that coaches like him are hard to find. why push him out?

Sorry copy and pasted should of said coach Bubba. I also wanted to mention it takes a very special person to DONATE their time, and the amount of time Bubba has put into this team ans each of the players. This is simply ridiculous ostracizing Bubba. Have the people that have requested Bubba to step down put in the effort and time and emotions that it takes to run a team as Bubba has.
