We the undersigned call on the Head Office of Lloyds Pharmacy to stop the closure of the branch in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. The chemist is in the heart of the Village and used by so many. Rhiwbina is home to some of the oldest people in Cardiff, and need a chemist in close walking distance of their home.

been talking to a few neighbors who are really worried about how theyll get their meds if this closes. im currently trying to pull together a meeting with some of the local councillors to see if there is any way to push back on this decision.

im honestly blown away by how many people stood up for our pharmacy this week. the momentum is real and it shows how much this place keeps our community together. keeps me going to see everyone fighting for the same thing.

we are almost at 1000 names and i know we can hit it if everyone sends this link to a neighbor right now. lets get this done before they think they can just ignore us.

Without this pharmacy in Rhiwbina it will cause so many people to have to drive to get their prescriptions at the next, nearest Lloyd’s pharmacy (causing more unnecessary journeys , traffic and pollution) when currently we can walk to the local pharmacy.

With Covid spikes on the rise we need more pharmacies. Closing Lloyds Rhiwbina will put extra pressure on GPs and the NHS. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Closing this pharmacy is a backwards step. Money before community.

My 88 year old mum relies on the pharmacy to get her medications. Yes, she can get them delivered, or I could get them for her, but she likes this bit of independence. She doesn't drive so this is just close enough for her to walk. This pharmacy is important to the community.

Vital service in Rhiwbina village. Thankfully we’re not ill often, but when we have been, we have valued the shop and pharmacy in walking distance. Plus lovely helpful staff. Have used the pharmacist for advice to reduce GP attendance and had flu jabs here.

The pharmacy is an integral part of our small village high street and would be sorely missed. The staff at the store work tirelessly and do not deserve to lose their livelihoods. Lloyds should consider people over profits!

I use the pharmacy weekly. The staff are excellent and without them I will struggle. I am unable to walk far and will find it very difficult to find somewhere I can rely on like Lloyds. I expect it's a financial decision before community. Disgraceful !!

This chemist serves a large population around rhiwbina, including many elderly people. The nearest other pharmacies are two miles away.
