We, the undersigned, call on you to reject plans to demolish FESA House, an acknowledged architectural masterpiece and well-known landmark in the City.
FESA House is an outstanding example of Brutalist architecture, one of the few in this City. Demolishing this building will be a repeat of 1960s/70s demolition of unprotected architectural gems which we now rue.
FESA House, in its current configuration could be accommodated within the plans to develop the site as a hotel, and would be a unique development, a boutique hotel that would become an iconic attraction, part of the world class city so many people are working to create here in Perth.
Please, before it is too late, we urge you to intervene and ensure that this marvellous building is saved.

Discussions regarding the architectural significance of FESA House continue to unfold behind the scenes. I am currently compiling the arguments submitted by experts to present to the Minister for Tourism. Your persistence in highlighting the value of this landmark remains vital to our objective.

The momentum behind this effort has grown significantly and confirms that many residents recognize the cultural value of FESA House. This public response sends a clear signal that the preservation of our architectural heritage remains a priority for the community.

Perth will never be a world class city if significant aspects of it's past cannot be preserved and creatively repurposed. This is what gives an urban environment richness, interest and texture. I am saddened that we as a society don't seem to have the imagination and vision to recognise the value and worth of strong, wonderful (if not 'pretty') buildings such as these.
FESA House is a true asset to the city of Perth. As a city, we have lost enough architectural icons already. Please don't repeat the mistakes of your predecessors. FESA House is an important part of our city's heritage. By repurposing and developing the existing building, something truly special could be created for the future. Thanks for your time.
FESA house, though unconventional looking, from an architectural perspective is an amazing building and a credit to Perth as a participant of the global brutalist movement in architecture. West Australians are perceived globally as a bunch of backwards farmers who dig holes. Please don't perpetuate this idea by allowing our fragile cultural heritage to be demolished.
This is a bit of a Perth icon in a city with a dearth of interesting architecture. With its unique layout it could easily be a gallery, cultural centre, academic annex or simply an interesting mall. My vote would be a mixed-use retail/cultural venue with cinema space - something lacking since the demise of the Picadilly Cinema. Save the Cylon!
FESA House is a great piece of architecture and has the potential to become an icon of a currently-overlooked part of the inner-city. Demolishing it would be an incredibly short-sighted decision.

This is my favourite building in Perth and a wonderful example of the brutalist style! Short sighted developers should not be allowed to rob Perth of it's architectural history.
