Santa Rosa City Council once again believes the key to a vibrant city is to pollute the charm of the city by cutting off thoroughfares and building high rises (20 stories) in the city center to perhaps replace the glorious redwoods removed during its most recent remodel debacle. We would love to see this plan placed on a ballot so Santa Rosans can be part of this decision, a decision that will impact our city for generations to come.
They are really living up to there motto! The city designed for leaving! It's a shame!

I read the article in the paper and about fell out of my chair . The first attempt to revitalize downtown was a fail, so now on to round two. I attended the meeting at the public library where they asked for input on various design options- as I recall there was an OVERWHELMING response from the group to limit building heights to 6 stories . I long for a quant downtown area- but that is never going happen. I will have to continue to go to other towns and other countries to experience the small town feeling and charm I so crave
