Local businesses struggle to survive as it is, if you remove the parking more people will simply shop at the big stores that provide parking for free!

There is often insufficient space in our area park for Patients attending the health centre. Parking in Cowick Street and adjacent roads is essential to accommodate them

Keeping local businesses is imperative to St Thomas remaining the community it is and we should be proud. What will be gained by taking the spaces away? Surely there's more to lose than gain. If there's the concern about people going in to town then reduce it to 30 minutes -1 hour

I love and work in the area. I drive a large van, never have any problems driving up and down cowick st. I cannot fit under the barrier to park in the presinct there fore would be unable to quickly and easily use the local shops! I also feel it would encourage faster traffic on the street making it more dangerous.

Why would these invaluable spaces need to be removed? They are used all the time, not only for accessing the local businesses, but also for delivering donations to the charity shops that are too big to walk with.

Not only will this be bad news for the nearby businesses, removing this limited parking bay will only lead to faster traffic flowing along Cowick Street - putting pedestrians and cyclists at risk.

With suffering trade already occurring The last thing Cowick street needs is valuable parking taken away.

Why fix something that is not broken.
