We need your help to prevent additional cars being forced onto our local streets, where parking is already scarce.

It recently came to light that five off-street parking spaces at 31-35 Chelsea Street were created by a past developer without Council approval. While this came as a shock to us all, we have worked constructively with the City of Sydney Council to find a resolution.

If Council enforces a strict reduction (as is their current position), more cars will be forced onto our local streets, where parking is already scarce. It would also be an unfair outcome for owners who bought their apartments with designated parking spaces, unaware that the developer had flouted planning rules.

We have submitted a proposal to Council, to retain a number of onsite parking spaces. To support this proposal we commissioned a traffic engineering report demonstrating that the proposal is safe and complies with parking standards.

Please consider signing the petition below calling on the Council to support a practical resolution that retains maximum onsite parking, rather than enforcing a reduction that forces additional vehicles onto local streets.
