The "Childrens Opportunity Group" (COG) is a Bolton based registered charity whose initial aim was to provide a stepping stone between home/playgroup and/or nursery, for under fives with disabilities and/or special educational needs, giving them the opportunity to play and learn alongside their peers. Over the years, COG has become a leader in the field of inclusive provision for Under 5s. COG also gives parents the chance to meet others with similar problems so they can be of mutual help and support. COG is one of the 60 charities and groups that have been warned the funding they receive from Bolton Council could be pulled within weeks. We HAVE to keep COG open - it is the ONLY place in Bolton which helps/teaches children (from birth to 5) with disabilities/additional needs.
