Clitheroe Christmas Fair has not be granted permission due to the influence other parties had on the councillor's vote disapproval.
This was set to be a bench mark event show casing our local town and businesses, promoting the local area to visitors and bringing a much needed event for local residents.
We the under signed request a urgent review of this decision and to allow the Christmas Fair to take place.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about our fair and I never imagined this would grow so quickly. We are nearly at one hundred names now and I know that reaching that number will show the council that our town is united.

Chamber of trade,!! Why? It's one day that your trade may be affected but once people are in town they'll wander into the shops! Get real,, ba humbug! Not one restaurant said the food fest was bad for trade?! It brought people into our beautiful town!
Julie Whalley has worked her socks of to organise this event. If Clitheroe and Ribble valley are going to take Tourism seriously Events like this must be supported by the council
Please will someone explain why this shouldn't happen. The most magical time of the year where we can showcase how lovely Clitheroe is and celebrate a special time of the year with all our family and friends. I just can't believe it. If barnoldswick, skipton and Harrogate can do it... Why can't we ?
please save the Christmas markets everyone has been talking about it and I've been really excited to take my son I have never been to any of the Christmas markets as they have been to far to get to and having this just on the doorstep is a fantastic idea. Save the Christmas markets
I was looking forward to this. I don't usually go into Clitheroe to do any shopping, so this would've brought me into Clitheroe which I would have tied in with visiting established shops too instead of heading into Blackburn or Manchester. I think this decision is ridiculous.
Please keep Clitheroe happy and let us have the Christmas market

how about shutting the main road. Have free parking, free stalls for local businesses, charge for out of town stalls, and let the community provide entertainment for free. Create a real traditional community spirit.
