Sandy Mewies Assembly Minister for Delyn has not fulfilled her duties to the community of Flint and her constituency should resign her post.

Sandy Mewies was once a respected politician within the community of her constituency, she has let herself down and her constituency that she represents. I am sure that even if she did stand for the welsh assembly elections in 2016 she would not win her seat, you only have to mention her name within the community and nobody has got a good word to say because how she has treated the Flint community with regards to the community hospital campaign, according to the welsh assembly government an elected Assembly minister is supposed to represent anything of public interest, Mrs Mewies has been nowhere to be seen, she has kept a low profile, and people are disgusted about her being unprofessional , when approached at a labour meeting, she couldn’t cope under the pressure and one of phrases that sticks in people’s minds and won’t be forgotten by the community is “I can do what I like”. On Mrs Mewies welsh assembly profile it states that one of her main political interests is education and health. Mrs Mewies should do the decent thing for her constituency and resign her Delyn seat. The petition is to put pressure on Mrs Mewies to do this, the petition has created a lot of interest from a lot of the older generation, as well as the younger. The petition will also be available in paper format for the people that do not have access to the internet. I am overwhelmed with the offers of help to get the petition signed and filled. In my opinion she has also let her labour colleagues down aswell.at times like this the community rally around and come together. So Mrs Mewies it’s time you went, we don’t want you to wait until 2016 for the assembly elections, people don’t want you as their assembly minister for Delyn anymore….let somebody else take the seat and represent the Delyn constituency as they should and are paid to do so. This petition has also drawn attention to a lot of media channels, as well as other politicians.

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing the community rally behind this cause feels like a necessary turning point. It is clear that the frustration over how we have been treated is shared by so many of you. We are not turning back now.

She has been invisible for years. Flint deserves someone who actually listens and cares about the hospital instead of just hiding away. Time to go.

Never see her round here. Useless.

I can do what I like? Really? Unbelievable attitude from an elected official. She needs to step down now.
