We call on the government to remove Mayor Daniswa Mafumbatha from office immediately, because Winnie Madikizela Municipality has gone too long without the clean, honest leadership our communities need.

Since 2017, people in our communities have seen no real change. Some still have no access to clean water. Roads are in bad condition. Flooding is a serious problem in some areas, and there are no bridges to help people cross safely. Some schools are being given tenders that raise serious concerns among local people. Our town is dirty, there is no visible progress, and electricity remains a problem, with some transformers needing to be replaced. Clinics are also not in a good state to serve the public. On top of that, there is no proper RDP housing for our communities, while only a very small number of people have received it.

We are also deeply concerned about the way protests and service delivery demands have been handled. When people raise their voices for their rights, they should be heard, not met with force. Leadership should protect the community, not turn against it. We are tired of empty promises, missed meetings, and leaders who do not give clear answers when the people ask questions.

There is also growing anger about corruption in Winnie Madikizela Municipality and about decisions that do not respect the law or the people of Bizana. We demand honest leadership, proper accountability, and a municipality that serves everyone fairly.

If Mayor Daniswa Mafumbatha cannot do that, then she must step down and make way for leadership that will serve the people with honesty, responsibility, and respect. The people of Bizana deserve better.
