We are all in agreement that The City of Salford Council should act within its duty of care for protecting and promoting the name of Salford by seeking to change the attitudes and practices of local businesses who describe their location address as being in Manchester.
This practice to the people of Salford is grossly insulting to their independent status of a City, and we ask the council to use all laws and regulations and persuasion in insisting that businesses in Salford state that they are in Salford and not Manchester.

The momentum behind this is proof that Salford residents are finished with businesses erasing our city identity for their own convenience. The Council has no more excuses to ignore us while these companies treat our home like a footnote in Manchester. We are finally forcing them to stop this insulting charade.

Salford has its own history. Why are we letting everyone wipe it out?
About time. Every time I fill out forms online they try to force Manchester on me. Proper annoying.
Born and raised here. Not from Manchester. Sort it out council.
Sick of telling people where I live only for them to assume it is part of Manchester. It is not. Keep our pride.
