Whatever happened to “flying friendly”. I’m a 32 year military veteran ( aviator) and find the overflight of the residential and resort area to be highly irresponsible.
Help us Reduce the Risk, Reduce the Pollution, and Quiet the Noise! Sometimes, I have to stop the conversation because I can't hear people talking inside my home, or at the phone, or can't hear the TV. It is that bad and flying that low. I feel that is unnecessary and avoidable. On Sundays it disturbs the peace. Thanks.
Let's move the ALCUIZ at least back to the 1984 parameters; maybe even a little further in order to take all homes out of harms way. AND let's take care of our fellow Coronadoans in the Cays, by redirecting the NOLF helo flights away from their homes and back over the bay and/or the shoreline/ocean.
Living in the flight path of navy helicopters, huge cargo planes and even the quieter newer jets is a scary proposition. The noise is incredible, and the fear of an accident is very real. When the fog comes rolling in off the ocean, we are particularly nervous. Please, reroute these helicopters and planes so that they fly parallel to Point Loma and away from Coronado.
If the Navy can protect 27 endangered species along the strand they can protect another species us humans who pay their salaries. My complaint refers to helicopter noise.
The amount of military planes and helicopters that fly over Imperial Beach on a daily basis has become unbearable and only continues to increase. It's not fair to the residents who live here, especially those who have lived here for years, before this became such an issue. And especially since the houses that were built here weren't built with noise insulation because there didn't used to be such an egregious noise issue. My windows do next to nothing to buffer the noise but I can't even open them any more to enjoy the ocean air. It's unsettling, unpleasant, and dangerous to have these giant, loud, vibrating, pollution creating machines flying overhead day and night. It's bad for our health and well being. Please help. We matter. It's not unpatriotic to want some peace and quiet!
Constant helicopter noise ruins my days outside in my yard and during my long walk around the Imperial Beach area.

Flights over the north end of Chula Vista. Why can’t flights be moved over the Sweetwater River and hwy54. At present we get 10/30 flights directly over our home. Plus as late as 10:30 pm.
