SA government, please Pay companies within 7 days after service is delivered.
To the South African government. This petition serves to demand that you pay companies that you procure services from within 7 days after the service is delivered.
It is public knowledge every service procured has a budget. It does not make any sense to take the entire month to pay companies after they spent money, sometimes their entire operational budget to supply you with a services. A lot of companies are going out of business because of this and some loose money by halting their day to day services because they don't have operational funds while wating weeks on end to be paid.
We urge you to prioritize paying comapnies that render services to you within 7 days of delivery.

The scale of this response confirms that late payments are a systemic issue for businesses across the country. I am currently compiling the data to present to the National Treasury office during our scheduled briefing. We are preparing a formal memorandum to outline the specific impact of these delays on operational viability.

Hope this will do good to you and others, i understand very well because government budget for tenders before advertising it. So if one has submitted everything after the completion of the work why not get paid
I completed the projects..even today I have not receive payments from different departments

Govt is killing small business with these delayed payment.
I totally agree with 7 days payment period after rendering services or submitting an invoice. It truly doesn't make sense to wait for 30 days

Still waiting for payment from government departments months and years after treating their injured on duty employees :(
