We the undersigned wish to voice our displeasure at Royal Mail and their actions regarding the Paralympics at London 2012.

Throughout our very successful Olympics at London 2012, Royal Mail have created stamps of all of our Gold Medal winning Olympic athletes.  We applaud this in helping to celebrate the successes of our amazing Team GB Olympic athletes at London 2012.

We therefore find it extremely difficult to understand the decision NOT to celebrate Team GB Paralympic athletes who attain gold medals in the same way.  We feel that this discriminates against people with disabilities and shows clear double standards and an elitist attitude.  It suggests that people with disabilities are somehow deemed to be lesser in society and their achievements mean less than people who do not have disabilities.

We would therefore like to submit this petition through Ability Action Southend CIC and on behalf of all those who feel that this decision by Royal Mail is wrong and must be reconsidered at the highest level.
