Common Ground Now: Promoting Tolerance on Route 51
Common Ground Now (CGN) is a growing coalition of allies advocating tolerance in our rural communities. CGN was founded in April of 2008; our goal is to develop respectful, community-based solutions to local issues. We are a diverse coalition, representing a variety of faiths and political ideologies. Our supporters include teachers, students, ministers, artists, journalists, photographers, restaurant workers, and full-time parents. We have joined together to denounce prejudice and promote tolerance. We want to raise awareness of antisemitic propaganda on Route 51 in Central Illinois. By gathering the signatures of people who condemn displays of prejudice, we intend to show that our community is working toward tolerance.
