CALL TO ACTION
I stand up against hate, bigotry, and violence. I will work for a community that is welcoming, celebrates diversity, and is inclusive of all people.

Following the attack of our Muslim brothers and sisters in New Zealand and attacks we have seen across the country and globe, we are working to develop programming that is proactive, not just reactive, to combat hate, bigotry, and violence.

We welcome you to share this petition on social media and with your friends. Will you sign this Call to Action and share with your network?

About the Interfaith Alliance of Iowa

Interfaith Alliance of Iowa celebrates religious freedom by championing the rights of individuals, by promoting policies that protect both religion and democracy, and by empowering diverse voices to challenge extremism.

Interfaith Alliance of Iowa is committed to standing up for the common good of all people by encouraging community activism, challenging extremism, and defending the rights and freedoms of all Iowans. We do this work always with a lens of civility.

We will update all individuals who sign the Call to Action with the details for future events and actions.

Updates

March 26, 2019

I have been reading through the deeply personal stories you are leaving in your comments and they remind me exactly why we started this fight. We are currently meeting with local leaders to turn this momentum into proactive programming that actively dismantles the hatred we see in our neighborhoods.

March 26, 2019

The momentum building behind this call to action is deeply moving and reminds me that we are not alone in our commitment to a safer community. Seeing so many people join this effort proves that the desire for inclusion and peace is far stronger than the forces of hate.

Enough is enough. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home and community. Stop the hate.

Bigotry has no place here. Love is stronger than hate. PERIOD.

Heartbroken over what happened in NZ. We have to do better than this madness. Thanks for starting this.
