Afghan Association Inc. plans to build a cemetery site on property adjacent to the Rosebud Park Homeowner’s Association.
The Rosebud Park Board of Directors is asking that homeowners make an effort to have their opinions on this matter brought before Gwinnett County because there is strength in numbers. Please sign the petition to show that you are AGAINST the cemetery plans.
All owners are encouraged to attend two hearings held by the County regarding this matter, which the County has filed under case number SUP201543.
The first hearing, a Planning Commission hearing, is scheduled on September 1, 2015 at 7:00 PM. The Board of Commissioners hearing is set for September 22, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Both will be held at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville, GA 30046.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the concerns regarding that land near the park and honestly the amount of shared anxiety is wild. I am currently trying to organize some talking points for the upcoming sessions since showing up in person is going to be the only way we get their attention.

I honestly cannot believe how many people have jumped on this board because it really feels like the whole neighborhood is finally looking up from their phones and seeing what is coming for our park. This momentum is actually wild and it honestly makes me feel a bit better about walking into those hearings knowing we have this much backing behind us even if I am still stressed about the whole thing.

Though I am unable to attend. I would like it to be noted that I am strongly against the building of a cemetery on rosebud rd. There are at least two other areas in snellville that are better choices and both are off of 78. One an old building and the other a 2 acre lot being sold.
I am concerned about my home value and quiet neighborhood should this cemetery be allowed. He is proposing building this on the county line, which scares me even more because he may want acreage that falls in Rockdale County as well.
The location of this cemetery will not only devalue the homes, but take from the neighborhood's natural beauty. I'm sure the adjacent ranches aren't happy about this considering their live stock and horses roam in direct view of the cemetery. How terrible for horses to roam alongside a burial site.
A cemetery near my house will scare my son who usually takes jogging along the road. A cemetery will definitely bring my house value down and cause traffic problem and safety issue. Besides, the cemetery will completely destroy the beautiful landscape.
I do not want this cemetary built in my neighborhood. This will bring the property value down and will make resale hard. It is already hard enough with all the foreclosures.
NO CEMETARY WILL POLLUTE THE ENVIRONMENT, EFFECTS HOME VALUE NOOOO!
The cemetery is a complete eye sore for the surrounding communities but more than that, our property values that still have not recovered will be greatlying affected. NO CEMETERY! !!

I Strongly oppose a cemetery on Rosebud Dr. WHY? on a residential street where there is such a large population of children. NO!!!!!! NO!!!!!! CEMETERY!!!!
