117 Acres of land is now available adjacent to the Rosebud Lake Regional Park Wildlife Refuge for $340,000. This park has great public access but needs to expand to encompass more of the lake shore. Usage has increased dramatically since the Pandemic began. It is used for many outdoor activities. Rosebud is considered one of BC's 10 best fly fishing lakes in the BC fishing guide and is open year around. It is home to Western Painted turtles that are considered species at risk as well as ducks, heron, muskrats, dragonflies etc.. Easy year round public access. Residents of Nelson,Trail and Castlegar as well as the Salmo Area use it for outdoor activities walking, horseback riding, non-motorized boating and swimming.etc. Please provide funding to make a purchase agreement with the seller and allow time to raise the money necessary to proceed with the purchase.

Local residents need enhanced access to Rosebud Lake. With the recent purchase of land and lots, local residents now have a very small area to enter the lake and only ONE camping spot available. We have recently moved close to Rosebud Lake and the lake was one of the reasons we purchased our property.

This is a special place. I go there often to kayak amongst the turtles. It is a terrible shame that things have changed there after the purchase of the lots and the no trespassing signs. If I could I would by the land for everyone to use.

My dad & I fished at Rosebud in the late 50's and early 60's before we moved to the coast. Please save this area for future generations. It is a place that I am returning to this summer on my 'stay in my province' vacation.

This is a very popular beautiful lake. It has an amazing population of western painted turtles. Recently the other surrounding plots were sold and there is very limited access for the public now. Please support this cause.

It would be wonderful to see the RDCK step up to protect this popular family fishing spot from logging and to increase easily accessible parkland in our area.

I personally love going here and paddling with my son to see the painted turtles. I think this ecosystem is treasured by most Ymir and Salmo residents.

Please don't ruin this area and destroy the wildlife, etc.

This area is so beautiful as is, it would disrupt floral, fauna and wildlife that live in the area.
