Rock Island, Illinois, Petition for Establishing a Deer Population Management Program
As a resident of the city of Rock Island, IL, I am in favor of an Urban Managed Deer Hunt Program within the city limits.
I support the "Citizens for Managing the Deer Population" on their request to our City Council members to establish this Program utilizing the most effective and efficient means possible. I agree with the citizen group that this Program be up and running to coincide with the 2012 Illinois State hunting season.

I really thought this might just fizzle out in the quiet corners of the internet but seeing all these people from Rock Island chime in is honestly wild. My inbox is blowing up with addresses from every neighborhood and it makes me think the city council might actually have to listen to us for once since this is clearly becoming a real thing.

4103 9th st. Too many deer in town now. Its a hazard for everyone.
1511 22nd Ave. My garden is destroyed every single summer. PLEASE fix this.
802 12th St. Need to control the herd size before someone gets hurt in a bad accident.
3412 18th Ave. Getting sick of them eating all my landscaping every year.
912 30th St. I almost hit one on 30th street last week. They are everywhere and its not safe to even drive at night.
