This is a formal request for support to implement a designated class period for Plano Independent School District Campuses that have a First Lego League, First Tech Challenge or First Robotics Competition team. According to the University Interscholastic League, Robotics is an official UIL contest beginning with the 2018-2019 school year. In light of this recent development, it is paramount that coaches and students are given ample time practice in order to remain competitive with other First teams and allow Plano to emerge leader in educational robotics. 450 minutes every two weeks (one period per day for non-block schedules) for dedicated robotics instruction would solidify Plano's commitment to excellence in regards to this endeavor. Please sign this request so that it can be submitted to administration for consideration for the 2019-2020 school year.

My son stays till 7pm for practice every night. This would help so much so he can actually get his homework done!
