-2 minute overtime (yes that was over before we knew it).
-Many shootouts (which caused lots of delays through the weekend schedule) since most games ended in OT tie.
- It generally works out to losing play time in finals for the teams who get to semi/finals.
-All teams should *not* get to play in finals week as that's not fair in the efforts to make it to the finals to begin with.
Now as of this spring season, XL has scheduled us from 8 games down to 7, while shortening the playoff weekend times down to week 8 all in one night of play. Why? Great question!
To add yet another season into our full time year of play so they can charge us another $750 team fee in the calendar year.
If you dislike or disagree with these recent changes, please sign this petition so we can share with the XL Sportsworld owners that we do not like this new model.
Perhaps, there was room from improvement in the old model; however, a better way of doing it would have been appreciated. But this was too dramatic, too hectic, too apt to injure more players and a way to squeeze out more money without adequate or fair socialization of the changes.

The momentum behind this petition proves that we are fed up with Richmond XL squeezing us for more cash while gutting the quality of our season. They clearly think we will just roll over and accept their greed but these signatures show them exactly how wrong they are.

I felt that XL Sports should not break a contract in the midway of a session. Us as captains should be informed of any schedule changes or season adjustments prior to that session. I felt that this was unethical and very harsh on teams.
Was not happy with staying until midnight because of the delay caused by overtime issues. Seems we are getting less and less for our money's worth.
whats the point of playoffs if everybody competes? That's just lame. I'll just move my team to scor, it's cheaper and makes more sense.
16% reduction in per season playing time with no prior communication translates into a profit-focused model and not a customer satisfaction one. Not respectable.
i have been playing at this facility since it opened and it has gone through many changes a long the way but none of them took away from the game of soccer more than these changes have. This is a pretty aggregious change thats purely profit driven without any regard for the consumers. I understand its a busines, but one does not run a soccer facility for high profits, they run it partially for the love of the game and these changes take away from the game. I have confidence in saying this would have never happened under RISE. Furthermore, we are all adults and can understand that if you don't win, you shouldnt keep playing into thw tournament, its a rather gross notion to cover up pure profit driven motives.
Regular season games are 50 mins,so why not the playoffs?
