We live three houses from the NW corner of the proposed Rhodora Annexation. The city of Lake Stevens allows lot sizes that are too small for the area with no sidewalks, no on street parking and lots that have almost no backyards. Additionally, there are few infrastructure improvements made by the city. This area is best served by remaining part of the county.

309 119th Dr SE - I am strongly against this annexation and in particular any annexation that includes the issuing of ANY high density housing permits. Lake Stevens is already heavily lacking in its infrastructure. If you don't think so, just try leaving the area weekday mornings between 6 & 8 am, it's complete gridlock, adding additional housing, especially high density housing, will only make it that much worse. Until the city of Laker Sevens (and Snohomish county) start making real changes to our infrastructure, no new housing permits, especially high density, should approved.

I strongly protest this annexation. For tax reasons, septic vs. sewer mandates that may arise, as well as school zoning. We moved to this location last year and have transitioned our 3 kids to the Snohomish School District, we do not want to shake them up again!

21 years ago my late wife and I moved into 730 Rhodora Heights RD. We loved the quiet, friendly neighborhood. We both understood growth would happen and it has. Yet the roads and other infrastructure has not. Adding a High Density housing area will cripple our present system. If you hate traffic on the trestle now just wait. With all the other housing areas going up I estimate up to 7,000 more cars each rush hour. NO ANNEXATION!

428 Rhodora Heights Rd. Our roads cannot handle any more volume. They are already beyond capacity. Annexation will not solve any of the major and urgent issues we currently face. Annexation produces wasteful spending and does not benefit the people. We have what we need now. Many years ago I voted for a Kirkland annexation and it was the biggest mistake, full of regrets and broken promises from the city. Our family moved to Lake Sevens to get away from things like this. Our roads need attention first, before we even start talking about density. Sign the petition so we can all sit down and talk about what really matters most. Annexation will eventually get here but let's try and hold it off for another decade or so.

Unfortunately, I was mislead by the group collecting signatures for the annexation and signed. After becoming fully aware of the real intentions for the annexation, I am FULLY AGAINST annexation into the City of Lake Stevens. If it was an option, I would gladly rescend my signature for the annexation.
