We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who are opposed to the annexation into the city of Star. We are gravely concerned that this annexation will be detrimental and negatively impact our quality and way of life. That this will also have negative effects on (but not limited to) our traffic, schools, taxes, water, Wildlife, hunting, property rights, and property values. We further believe that proper steps including careful, critical analysis and planning have not taken place which will also have a negative effect upon our quality of life.
Description of proposed annexation location: One mile west of HWY 16 to ½ mile west of Kingsbury Road North and South of Purple Sage Road23 Comments
I’m concerned about leap frog developement overburdening our water supply and destroying our rural way of life with increased traffic, pollution and people.
The rural life we live will be ruined with over 3,000 new homes...our roads cannot handle this much expansion. There’s plenty of land over in the Star area, please stay there...we LOVE our rural life!
Do not let this happen!! There is wildlife and under ground natural springs. It is all for the money in upper corporation hands that do not even live in Idaho!!! Stop the insanity!!!
This is not Ok! We just bought our home and were never told about this possibility.
I am concerned about the extra traffic, lack of emergency services for this many new homes. Not to mention schools and road that barely handle what is on them now. Quit chasing the all mighty dollar Star. It is apparent this has not been thought through completely. At least let's get the lots to no less than 3 to 5 acres and keep the rural setting we all moved here for.
I am strongly opposed to this annexation for all of the reasons as stated above. I am also strongly opposed to the number of homes that Star and Willowbrook development want to build in this area.
The 2700 registered voters in Star that didn't vote in the recall will soon regret that they did not vote. All these homes and high density with a two lane highway. Yeah, the local politicians really care about their constituents. Vote them out the next time you get a chance.

I do not want this annexation, as I do not want the extra traffic on my road. I live in the country for this reason, not to have people moving in closer to me. Also I don't want my water affected by the city of star providing water as we have the 2nd oldest water right out here.
