Say NO to Rex Parris' $1,000 Bounty on "Gangbangers"!

Come to the next City of Lancaster City Council Meeting on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month at 5:00 p.m. and tell Rex Parris that his $1,000 bounty for "gangbangers" convicted of a felony is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. "Gangbangers" is code word for "young black and brown boys and girls". If Rex was truly concerned about putting away those who commit a felony, then why isn't his bounty for ANYONE who is convicted of a felony???
Come and let your voice be heard. You can speak for 3 minutes at the end of the meeting on any topic not on the meeting agenda. Tell Rex:
"I DO NOT accept your bounty on our young Black and Brown boys and girls. If you are serious about reducing crime in our community, then commit that money to Prevention and Early Intervention programs, such as the Comprehensive Violence Reduction Strategy (CVRS) being implemented by the 10,000 Fearless Movement in the Antelope Valley. WE WILL NOT allow you or anyone else to target our youth. I demand that you rescind your $1,000 bounty!"
This will be just the first of many instances when Rex will hear the voice of the 10,000 Fearless Movement in the Antelope Valley!

I really did not think this would gain this much steam but here we are and honestly it feels like people are finally waking up to how wrong this bounty thing is. It is wild seeing the momentum build because for a minute there it felt like I was just shouting into the void about this whole mess and now look at what everyone is doing together.

My 6th grade son has adhd and sometimes his comprehension is not up to par. He knows very little about gangs due to me keeping him and my 5 yr old sheltered. His fav color is red and green because of super heroes. Id hate for them to be walking home clueless and get messed with due to this B.s! Rex is out of his mind, and if there's that kind of money being thrown around while the homeless are starving and cold there is a problem.
Police does Target most if not all but close black and brown young people as gang members.
I'm already been a victim of an over policed city, who's only concern is with ruining the youth of this community with petty convictions. The prey on the people that can't afford representation. They put them in situations and on a path to be career criminals. This will only further this type of agenda. We need to rehabilitate and educated these kids and show them there is hope and they can be more than just labeled a "gangbanger".
I am a black parent of three boys and I am against this knew law to put our black young man and girls away.. I vote No
This is as ridiculous - what defines a 'gang banger'? Who gets to decide? and HOW does this help the REAL problem - which is failing schools and a lack of programs that help kids get work and guides them into strong character building. Put the money where it will do real good.
Crime is crime, so go after anyone that does any kind of criminal act in Lancaster. Starting with the recent overload of graffiti vandals.

This bounty is unfair as it will open the door for those holding grudges against law abiding citizens. It is unfair because it will open the door for the many racists living in the AV who will call on a person based on the color of their skin and their religion. I am sure you can find a better way to handle this then an open season and a free for all.
