We are a group of Ashland residents and parents who want to bring toys and a sense of community back to the playroom. We are committed to working with Ashland management to make this happen.
I have submitted a formal request for a meeting with Ashland management to discuss the playroom reopening. While I await a response, I am drafting a proposal that outlines budget requirements for new equipment and safety maintenance.

My daughter is 7 and grew up in this playroom. We wouldn’t have met the amazing community of families if it hadn’t been for a community space like the playroom in her early years. Please bring it back so other families can continue to build community!

It does not make sense to not allow specific toy items for the play room. The pandemic is officially declared as over and there is a missed opportunity for the kids. It would be great to see management’s commitment towards addressing their residents needs rather than giving us a blanket NO statement because it is easier for them to have one less thing to think of. So many buildings have some toy items in the play rooms and manage to keep a balance, manage safety and liability concerns.

Thanks for organizing this Julie. I wholeheartedly support this. We met so many neighbors in 2017-2019 when the playroom was full of toys and Henry was younger. It's a shame that Mills (2 years old) can't experience the playroom in the same way.

Ashland Playroom is a critical amenity for the Ashland community, esp the families, and it is time to return it to its original state and function

Let’s bring joy and community to the play room! I’m happy to even go down and help clean the toys!
