This is a petition requesting that a poll be taken for the following changes to the grading scheme for the class:
Two quiz grades are dropped
Two homework grades are dropped
Reasoning:
A breakdown in the normal structure of instruction due to the global pandemic, and a general anxiety and malaise has negatively affected the academic output of the student body and consequently their homework and quiz grades do not accurately represent their effort or desire to succeed.
Additionally, the revised grading structure would help account for technical difficulties related to remote learning causing homework and quiz grades to suffer.

While I do agree that the pandemic has created waves, I know Wing will take that into account when computing the final grades - he really does care for the students.

the wifi at my place keeps dropping during these zoom lectures and i really cant afford to lose points on my hw because of it
