PETITION TO ONTARIO MINISTRY OF EDUCATION:
REQUEST FOR ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW OF OCDSB EASTERN SECONDARY AREA PUPIL ACCOMMODATION REVIEW

As concerned parents and community members, we request the Ministry of Education to undertake an administrative review of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s Eastern Secondary Pupil Accommodation Review, involving Rideau HS, Gloucester HS and Colonel By SS between September 13, 2016 and March 7, 2017. We believe that the review process was flawed because it did not provide opportunities for substantive and public consideration of any option but the one recommended by Board staff.

The momentum we have built proves the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board cannot simply steamroll over our community. They think they can force through these closures behind closed doors while ignoring the families they serve. We are not backing down until they address the massive flaws in this accommodation review.

RIDICULOUS decision. so many families are gonna be screwed by this commute.
My kids go here and we deserve better than these backroom decisions. Keep Rideau open!
Fix the budget elsewhere. dont punish the kids because you cant manage money.
The board had their minds made up before they even started the meetings. total joke.
This school is the heart of the community. Taking it away destroys everything the students have built. Stop the closure.

We need someone to actually look at how they ran this process. it was biased from day one.
