We, the residents of New Heritage Hills, identified as "part of Richardson Ridge south of Richardson Side Road" in the New Kanata North Elementary School Attendance Study published on Thursday, May 7, 2015, petition the school board to rescind the proposed boundary change affecting our community.

All proposals in the study unduly separate our neighbourhood from the surrounding community for redirection to new Kanata North Elementary School. Richardson Ridge, Heritage Hills, New Heritage Hills and Kanata Estates form a very close-knit community. Many children in these neighbourhoods play together and attend the same schools. The proposed boundary splits them up without concern for geographical and communal factors.

We strongly believe that our community/neighbourhood should continue to be in the Stephen Leacock PS school boundary to minimize disruption in students school life. Please keep our community intact and children together.

The momentum is undeniable now. Seeing this level of backing proves our community will not be split up quietly.

If you do not have ability to keep all existing family with children comfortable by providing convenient school. Just suggest city of Ottawa to stop further development, and finish your current job carefully first!

Please stop this unfair redirection of school, we need to keep our community intact and children can play with their classmates in the surrounding area and within walking distance.

I support the community to against this unfair redirection. my concerns including my children need leave their current school teachers, friends. And they probably need go to two different schools due to their different ages.

my concern is the safety bus ride of my brother when he is transferred to RMES specially during winter time. He will has less sleep time and it is not good for his growing. and he will lost his friends around our community which is definitely hurting him. I am not happy to see this happy in our neighborhood, please do not separate our community.

I support the community to against this unfair redirection. my concern is that it will increase the cost of school board operation and it waste tax payers money and long ride bus will be unsafe factor.

My concern is that my son will lose his all friends of WEJ when he is transferred to the far away school and definitely the new classmates are not in walking distance area, he will be fun with games instead of playing outside with his friends. and the proposal really bothers him a lot, he keeps asking to whom he can play with in the future. please get our right back to go to WEJ as it keeps our community as a whole. thanks

How the school board could even come up such idea to isolate a small community out from the neighborhood?!! Some dirty deals must happened under the table!

Please keep us in the same neighborhood as Kanata Estates and Heritage Hills.
